Superbowl season is right around the bend and everyone is asking the same question: what kind of snacks are you offering at your super bowl party? For any Sunday Night Football host, this is an inquiry that can bring on cold sweats and send shivers down your spine. Sure, you can be run of the mill and slap a plate of clammy chicken wings and a bowl of greasy potato chips on the table, but this is hardly an original idea. And besides, your pals are likely still holding tight to their New Year’s resolutions, and won’t exactly be pleased at your waist-expanding fare.
Luckily, there are plenty of snacks that are creative, delicious, and healthy. Check out these three Superbowl snacks that every cruncher, muncher, and chewer will adore:

Grilled Summer Vegetable Pita Pizza
With complex, Mediterranean flavors, tangy hummus and feta cheese, and hearty grilled vegetables, you really can’t go wrong with this party fare. For this dish, you need large, whole wheat pitas, your favorite hummus dip, feta cheese, and grilled vegetables. Instead of sauce, hummus dips work as a delicious, nutrient-filled alternative. There are many different flavors of hummus that will work in this recipe. You cann even use multiple different flavors of hummus on eah side of the pizza. Then add your toppings and bake at 450 for 10 minutes. Delicious!

Guacamole Dip
Guacamole is not only heart healthy, it’s down right addictive. Making fresh guacamole dips is simple. Take 2-4 avocados and remove them from their casing into a medium bowl. Mash with a fork to a consistency of your liking. Then add the juice from a half of a lime, salt, pepper, 2 minced garlic cloves, a finely chopped tomato, and finely chopped red onion. Then, dip with whole grain tortilla chips, carrot sticks, or even put it on a sandwich! You really can’t go wrong.
