Tools You’ll Need to Make Hummus

    • A food processor
    • A sieve
    • A two-cup tupperware container

    Ingredients

    • One 15oz can of chickpeas
    • One-third cup good quality tahini paste
    • Three tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    • The juice of one lemon
    • Two cloves fresh garlic

    Putting Your Hummus Spread Together

    1. Toss the can of chickpeas into your sieve and rinse any of the leftover canning liquid off. This will remove the tinny flavor from the chickpeas.
    2. In your food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini paste, lemon juice, garlic, and two tablespoons of the olive oil together. At this stage, you can also add roasted peppers, cilantro, and other ingredients to make this easy hummus recipe your own.
    3. Process the ingredients until completely smooth.
    4. Transfer the hummus to the tupperware container, and finish the dip by drizzling the remaining olive oil over the top.
    5. Serve with pita chips and vegetables as a dip, or try using it as a sandwich spread. Bon appetit!
